Making Change Happen

I finally found out how to write on the Gmail group, so that is nice!

What a nice feature, making me love Gmail even more than I already do.

Miss you all!!!

if you haven't already...

this is the big official stay-in-touch-device that we are encouraging everyone to sign up for, even if you are already part of a different mch community.

Darlings all,

I would like to solicit suggestions for the resurrection of the failed MCH Movie Nights.

Suggestions could take the form of:

--Topic for films
--Debate: Class-related or completely random and irreverent movie selection?
--Good times to meet
--Ninja vs. Pirate
--World Cup favorites (love them soccerballs...)
--basically, just start talking and let's see what we come up with!

Making Change Happen

[Current Location |pasco, washington in the basement listening to music.]

[music |seve vs. evan (they rock)]

Hello out there.

This is Lacey. Lacey Buckingham. I'll be done with Evergreen after winter quarter next year. I'm in Pasco, Washington now looking for a summer job and volunteering at the music venue called 321 in Kennewick, Washington. (I worked for a record lable for several years before I moved to Olympia). I am obsessed with music, mostly indie and dance pop music. Especially the band called bright eyes.

I love to go to Seattle and watch some of my favorite bands play like the pharmacy and wallpaper.

Im hoping to actually get to hang out more often with people in Olympia, make new friends too. Haven't been doing too good of a job at that.

I make a great pen pal, through e-mail or snail mail.

What else...

Making Change Happen was fun. I'm going to miss teasing George, about anything really. haha.

Im quite the jokester.

ok bye.

Making Change Happen
Okay, folks, here's your crash course in LiveJournal if you're hovering around cyberspace watching this site and we don't know you're there.

This is yet another community space for members of the TESC program Making Change Happen, to stay connected now that our program has ended. This is a space for discussion and debate, announcements, pictures, updates, events, and silly things.

I'm going to recommend a few things to you all as far as this community:

I suggest that everyone sign up for LiveJournal instead of posting anonymously, because when I post event information, for example with my address, what I'm going to do is "lock" the post so that only people who are signed in (and therefore associated with an identity) can access the post and my privacy is maintained.

If you have an LJ id, comment here and I will add you or if you know how simply request to join the community. If you don't have an LJ id, it's really easy to put together and nothing bad happens when you sign up; it's also free; you don't have to maintain a journal if you don't want but having the ID will, like I said, give you access.

My last recommendation is that you add "makingchange" to your friends list so that when you view your Friends postings page, everything here gets posted to that- it's an easy way to keep track of updates. Adding "makingchange" to your list will not give me, the moderator, access to your protected/locked posts unless I, prophet723, am also on your friends list, so don't worry about privacy there either.

Okay, so there you have it! Post questions here or just announce your presence or something. I'm about to go make a locked post with my address for the party in July, so make sure you join this community!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

PS- Once a member, to post: go to the journal profile/info page and click the pencil icon.
